Alexander Wang jacket, HM leather shorts, Zara shoes

Pretending that leather shorts and bare legs are a good thing for Courchevel's winter. Still keeping my upper body warm though with Alex Wang'slacquered knit. This is probably the best thing that has happened to me during the sales. Intentionally (it's important to clarify that). And I sort of love how it offers a possibility of rolled up sleeves whilst still keeping my wrists covered. Indoorsy chalet snaps.

Céline biker coat, HM beanie and jeans, Theyskens' Theory Waren bag, Zara shoes

I have convinced myself that bare ankles in the winter (it is important to clarify the season here) qualify easily as the new best thing for me. I am into the whole shoe exposing theory right now and there is nothing better than a beanie, and a coat, and a pair of scissored jeans. More on that in the upcoming posts. Now I'm off to sleep as tomorrow early morning I'll be driving to the Alps.

Made it to Antwerp on a wednesday noon to see the brand new Filippa K for the approaching sun lit season. The whole collection does justice to what FK is in its essence - the cleanest cut scandinavian basics executed at the top of the minimalist game. Even though it seems like, if played wisely, there is something perfect for any given moment... day and night. The solitude of neutral hues provides for great layering options, causing my fixation on a navy bomber to evolve into a paired up duo with an ice-cream coloured sweatshirt and a pair of leggings. This is probably the first time I am openly ok with the aforementioned type of bottoms, as ordinarily anything resembling tights and worn with a sweater is a big 'no-no' for me. FK did a pair of suede-ish tight-ies so close to skinny jeans and so soft that you could possibly spend hours on a plane wearing these and probably still feel alright by the end of the day. Plus there is just enough ankle exposure with these to make things interesting. Sportswear bra tops seemed even more appealing and I even considered adding up to my styling equation. Although worn on its own with anything high waisted would do just fine. But my favourite of all, if I ever had to choose, would be a classic leather backpack from their mens line. I love the idea of being able to add certain level of functionality and cool, without having to commit to anything baggy and disproportionately oversized. Cannot get it out of my head.

You can see the collection in more detail over here.

And my formspring is there for you to ask any kind of random questions.

Vintage fur coat, HM jeans, Jeffrey Campbell Jett boots

Walked through some rusty parts of Leuven today. Things under construction and all kinds of road barriers seemed more than appealing. Consider me a sucker for beauty in distress or anything broken and vastly abandoned. I have thought about keeping these shots in colour, but somehow all the randomness seemed way too overwhelming. So, here go black and whites to complement my mostly greyish outfit. I'm doing that straw hat thing lately. Remember the one my brother scored at a local market somewhere along the Black sea coast back in the summer. Well, I have been implanting it here and there during the winter days and it really does the trick for seasonly mismatched outfits.

Vasilieva leather skirt and jacket (SS'13 soon on my tictail store), Topshop Boutique knit, Zara distressed boots, Prada sunglasses

Not feeling particularly wordy today. Sorry. The bed is calling and right now I am more inclined to believe this is the right thing to do. Briefly on the look - all the outer shells are from my SS'13 collection... sporadically combined whites, but you are probably already more than familiar with the skirt. I am a rewearer. But I promise to get my hands on something less obvious next time. Cut through boots are a new addiction of mine. Not sure if it will last, but for now I'm keeping my options open.
